Day2 - got ready to go and guess what it started raining again!! And it was heavy, waited 10 minutes or so,
then decided to go, put on our waterproofs and set off to Upper Lode Lock about 2 miles
away, hurray the rain nearly stopped when we got to the lock into the
lock we went and got our ropes around the poles and up we went, nice and
smooth.
Out of the lock and onto the non- tidal part of the River Severn, saw a
couple of narrow boats, but the River was very quiet. Met the work boat going from one wharf to the
other and on we went to Upton on Severn.
Usually, when we get there the moorings are full and guess what, there
was a row of four boats abreast and a few others there. There was a small space on the end so we
thought we would try to moor there.
A couple of boaters came out onto the pontoon and helped us tie up,
there was a lot of debris around the moored boats. We got in okay, just, which was lucky as we
did want to moor here for a couple of days.
Had lunch, then went up into the town, had a walk around in between the
showers, then back to the boat ready for the third day of our adventure.
