Stourport Basin to Wolverley (Staffordshire & Worcesterhire Canal)

So at last we finally can set off on the narrow canals, up the Staffs and Worcester, hurray!

The sun was shining again as we set off through York Street lock.

The canal was very quiet, saw a couple of boats, but not much movement, lots of people walking and cycling though and up to the moorings outside Lidl where we got a few supplies, then on we went.

Through another three locks, one of them being right by the church at Kidderminster, we then stopped for lunch.

On we went through another  two locks and moored up at Wolverley below the lock.

Went for a walk up to the lock where there is a pub and a tea room, there was people everywhere, good job we decided to moor down below and go through another day, didn’t fancy a big audience like that!

Walked up the canal and took a foot path which came out at the top of the village, walked back through the village and back to the boat.

Its really great to be back on the narrow canals.  We are staying put here in Wolverley for a couple of days.
