Denford to Endon (Caldon Canal)

Back under the aqueduct
Lovely reflection on the canal
The sun was shining again as we set off along the canal, back under the aqueduct, past the land and water workers, they are dredging the canal and making a new improved tow path all along this stretch, so a bit tricky in places when having to pass them, but we got by okay and up through the three locks back to Hazelhurst junction and on along the canal and stopped at the services for water, etc.  Chugged on for about a mile or so, then moored up at Endon in a nice sunny open  spot opposite fields with horses in and lots of Canadian Geese. The Stoke Boating Club is in an arm off the canal just down from where we are moored, so we walked up to have a look, but the gate was locked, so went up on the bridge and looked in, it looks nice, but very small and most of the narrow boats in there were short lengths, don’t think boats of our length would fit very well, but its in a nice spot.

Walked back down to the bridge and up the road to the couple of shops, then back to the boat.  It was a lovely sunny afternoon, so just chilled out.  Staying here tonight, then heading off tomorrow.
